ROADMAP · UPDATED JULY 2026

Built in the open, gated by proof

No date promises — each stage has a bar it must clear, and the big features below the line only get built if real families prove they're worth having. That's on purpose: apps in this category die of feature creep.

Then we stop and use it.

Before anything below gets built, the coordination core has to pass one test with real families: is this actually better than texting? If it isn't, we fix that first. No feature ships because a roadmap said so.

Shared expenses

Snap a receipt → the split is computed → both sides confirm reimbursement. Tego never moves money.

Check-ins

A one-tap "I'm here" at a handoff. Never location tracking — that's a promise.

Siri & assistants

Ask or tell Tego from your assistant of choice. Same rules, same privacy.

On-device AI

Some understanding could happen right on your phone — faster, more private, works offline. Only for tasks where it's provably as accurate.

Widgets

Today at a glance, without opening the app.

House rules both homes agree on

Curfew and screen-time agreements — set for your house, or proposed and agreed across both. Tego keeps the agreement; it never surveils.

Chores kids want to do

Optional XP and parent-made rewards for kids’ own responsibilities. Personal progress — never sibling rankings or scoreboards.

Android

Same product, same privacy model.

Counter-proposals

"How about 5:30 instead?" — if decline-with-a-note isn't enough in practice.

Why so cautious? Because the apps in this space that tried to do everything are the ones people complain about most. Tego adds a feature when real families show they need it — and never quietly. Nothing here is a date promise.
